Millfields Cattery in Rayne, Braintree are a licensed cattery specially designed to meet all your cat's needs. Within easy reach of Chelmsford and surrounding areas Millfields Cattery is built to the specifications recommended by the Feline Advisory Bureau ensuring that your cat will be staying in a safe, warm and comfortable environment.
We are one of the few FAB (Feline Advisory Bureau) listed catteries in Essex.
Each cattery chalet has an indoor full height compartment heated and fully insulated with a cat flap leading to an outside run. This looks out onto the garden which has been specially designed to give your cat visual stimulation and interest. Each chalet can take a maximum of two cats from the same household or we have several larger family chalets that can accommodate four cats from the same household.
Beds and bedding are provided but you are welcome to bring any of the your cats own bedding if you prefer.
We will feed your cat twice a day on the food that they usually eat when at home and is included in the price.
Each cat is insured whilst in our care that is also included in the price.
We must insist that your cat is fully vaccinated and will not be able to accept any cat even on arrival if there is no vaccination card accompanying. This is a strict rule of licensing.
Whilst your cat is in our care we will endeavour to make their stay with us as stress free and as happy as possible so you can go on holiday with one less thing to worry about.
A collection and drop-off service is available during office hours.
Monday to Friday: 10:00am - 2:00pm; Evenings 5.30-6.30pm
Saturday: 10:00am-2.00pm
Sunday & Bank Holidays: 10:00am-12.00pm

One Cat: £8 per day.
Two cats sharing from same household £13.00 per day.
Three cats sharing from same household £16.00 per day.
Four cats sharing from same household £20.00 per day.
Prices include food and insurance and there is no extra VAT charge. Cats are to be collected before 2pm on leaving day.

Diabetic cats will be considered for boarding after consultation. Medicating of cats will be charged an extra £1.00 per day, again after consultation.
